SUMMARY

Tom Schey has facilitated settlements using periodic payments at settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations and post
verdict settlements in many venues across the country. Through his affiliation with The Mangelsdorf Companies he is contracted
with every major settlement annuity carrier, periodic payment reinsurance carrier, and treasury bond settlement trust company,
and is able to testify as an annuitist. He is one of only three structured settlement specialists in the country with real-life hands-on
experience as a practicing attorney and has achieved the Certified Structured Settlements Consultant designation. Tom completed
the Harvard Negotiation Project, a contemporary think-tank directed at developing effective negotiation techniques. Tom's clients
depend on him to search out creative methods of resolution, including the introduction and explanation of a Special Needs Trust,
funding of healthcare coverage, and other collateral sources, to satisfy both his clients concerns and the claimants. Tom is
committed to the advantages of Structured Settlements and believes that they create a true win-win situation for both sides
of the litigation or claim process. As a specialist working on behalf of the defense, the needs of his clients, and a search to reduce
indemnification exposure, are always paramount.
